H+(aq) + OH-(aq) = H2O(l) - an aqueous sol'n.
Therefore by the molar ratios 1:1 ::1
H+ = OH- because equal number of ions are required to make a water molecule.
So equal quantities are required.

H+(aq.) + OH-(aq.) = H20(l)
Instead of equal sign you will need foward backward arrows to denote equilibrium. In water the plus and minus ions combine to form water molecules at the same rate at which these dissociate to reform the ions.
