The critics are all raving about Pushing Daisies, which is on NBC October 3rd at 8pm EST. I think it looks really interesting and I'm eager to see the first episode.

Of the ones that Ausiello from TV Guide recommends (he's seen all of the pilot episodes) the ones that interest me most are Chuck and Reaper.

I adore Addison from Grey's Anatomy, so I will be tuning in and watching Private Practice (on ABC, starting September 26th), but I'm a little wary based on the pilot/spin-off episode from last season. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

As far as returning shows go, I'd also recommend Supernatural. Yes, at first look it seems like a teeny-bopper fantasy/horror show, but it is so much more. There are some great characters and interaction and angst. It airs on the CW starting October 4th at 9pm EST.

I'd also recommend Heroes. I'm not one of the ones that says that it is better than Lost, just because it answers more of the mysteries that it proposes, but it is very captivating and entertaining. It airs on NBC right after Chuck, starting September 24th at 9pm EST.

As far as returning crime procedurals go, I'd also recommend Cold Case (on CBS, starting September 23rd at 9pm EST), because of the way it really draws you into the victims' lives and makes you care for them, and both Bones (on Fox, starting September 19th at 9pm EST) and NCIS (on CBS, starting September 25th at 8pm EST), because of the humor element and the chemistry and rapport between the characters.
