Probably most of the people. Property is a great way to grow your wealth because you can use leverage. As an example you can buy a building for say $200,000 by paying a deposit of say $20,000,borrowing $120,000 from a bank then getting the vendor to leave in $60,000 for say 3 years @ a small rate of interest. If the building goes up in value even 10% you double your money.

My money is equally split between commercial property and cash. I do not own a single bond, share or debenture. I have also spread my cash across 4 different currencies to reduce exchange rate risk.
Quite honestly, I've received a relatively poor return on my cash over the years and if I was less risk averse, I'd go for a bolder investment strategy. Also, I have to pay a lot of tax on my interest which is not ideal.
