...Or meters in a second. It's 1 it is? I'm getting confused.

Please answer! =] And thanks!

You don't understand...

The problem in my Physical Science homework is...

23,500 m divided by 89 s. I also went to

http://www.convert-me.com/en/convert/units/speed/speed.m_sec.en.html ...

You guys might want to check that out. =] Thanks for everything!

P.S. Do you think 1 meter = 1 second now?

I know it's weird but... well, there must be an answer somehow, or I'm getting it all mixed up with the "m" and "s." >.<

My other weird problem was 904,000 g divided by 135000 cm cubed. I found out that 1 g = 1 cm cubed. =]

I'm pretty sure I got that right.

Again, thanks a lot! I didn't realize how many people would actually answer on time. =D

That is only true if the density is 1g/cm^3
d = m/v
dv = m
(1g/cm^3)(1cm^3) = 1g
units cancel out
1g = 1g.
So 1cm^3 is 1 g

But if you replace d for 2g/cm^3, then 1cm^3 is not 1g.

>>How many seconds are there in a meter? <<
Just like the problem above, you can't just say there is 1m for every second. The time it takes to travel a meter depends on your velocity:
V = d/t

If you want to find out how many meters per second, all you have to do is solve using the values the problem gives you:
V = 23500m/89s = 264.04 m/s

The use V = d/t once more, but solve for t, using d = 1m, and the velocity you just found:
V = d/t
t = d/V
t = 1m/(264m/s)
t = 0.004s

A meter is a measurement of something different than seconds, it is a measurement of distance. Seconds a measurement of time. The question you asked cannot be answered.

Explain your question better please:
seconds as in time or seconds as in degrees, minutes, seconds?

the time one and meters are related by speed, so we need some speed info,
The circular type of seconds is related by pi and a radius, either way more information is needed or the answer is 0.

a meter is a mearsure of length,
1m ic lose to 1yard, in fact 1 meter = 39 in

It is not a measure of time.

The answer is zero.

You are using two different measurements, one is distance, the other is time. They are NOT interchangeable.
