I've seen some very good answers but you cannot give a ferret full eggs. They cannnot eat the whiyes, also some fruit is good but not too much as it turns to sugar and sugar is a no no for them. And YESthey need protein from the meat. If you give them cat food (which yhey a shld really get ferret food) make sure protein is among yhe first ingredients. Try blue buffalo,, the one with the wolf on it and they also have natural jerky. yes yhe NEE

Try Gerber Stage2 turkey or chicken baby food. It'll get him used to the taste and that'll come in handy should he ever get sick.
I do give mine a raw egg on occasion, but I make sure that it doesn't sit longer than 15minutes before I remove it to avoid bacterial growth.
You can boil the egg as well, if he likes them that way.
They are not supposed to have fruit and raw vegetables can actually cause bowel obstructions.
I do use 1/4th of a raisin for a treat when we work on our tricks and I know of people who will give 1 (ONE) Cheerio a day as a reward, no more.
I live over an hour away from the closest pet shop as well, so I rely on online stores to order stuff from. My favorite is http://www.ferret.com.
I order things like FerretVite, FerretLax and FerreTone and I use them as treats as well. One of my ferrets prefers Vaseline over FerretLax, so he gets that. It prevents hairballs, just like FerretLax, but it's not flavored and has no sugar in it whatsoever so it's actually better for them. It's not digestible, so it just goes through their system cleaning it out.
Oh, I forgot about the chicken. Once in a while I give mine a raw chicken wing, but they don't know what to do with it really. They look at me like I'm nuts and then they play with it for a little while. Do not let them play with it too long as it will spoil.
You can freeze the wing for prolonged fun.

I would say the best food you could give your ferret as a treat is a very well cooked egg, but make sure there is no vegetable oil that comes in contact with the egg.. another good foood to feed your ferret would be well cooked little pieces of beef or chicken.. Never ever feed your ferret fish, it contains too many rancid (free radical) oils.
Hope this helps

Raw or cooked eggs. Raw or cooked meats. No cooked bones. No bones from large animals like cows, pigs etc except for tails and necks. Bones from turkey, lamb or anything smaller is fine. Cooked and pureed veg like squash is fine. It helps prevent hairballs. I usually just get canned pumpkin (not the pie filling) or squash baby food. Don't fed too much. Ferrets are carnivores so veg is basically empty calories. They need to fill up on nutritious foods. No fruits or cheese except for maybe the occasional tiny treat.

Stick to things like poached chicken, beef, or pork. If you want to give your ferrets a real treat, look up a recipe for 'duck soup' also sometimes referred to as 'dook soup'.
And don't misunderstand...'ferret treats' from your local pet shop are absolutely fine and 100% manufactured for ferrets.
You could also try small pieces of raisins, crackers, pretzels, or cereal for something special. Ferrets love carbs but they should be fed VERY sparingly and not too often.
I just read some answers here...please, please, please, NEVER feed your ferret anything raw. Just like humans their bodies can be contaminated by bacteria. I'm sure you do not want a costly trip to the vet.

Just about everything you mentioned but the lunchmeat. Lunchmeat has too much salt and other chemicals. Don't cook ANY of the meat. It looses the stuff the ferret likes. You ever see a ferret use the stove? Some raw hamburger (Chopped chuck is better, but expensive.) Small bits of raw chicken wing with the skin, (It's good for them.) any raw pork without lots of fat on it, but not alot.
You can try some fruits, but ferrets are fussy about what type of fruit they will eat if not very hungry. Remove any uneaten fruit before it spoils. And try to feed it in a dish away from where it "goes potty".
One treat you missed is an egg. An egg is like the jackpot for a ferret. Small bird eggs are best, but not easy to get. Eggs will keep the little buggers coat nice and shiny. The raw beef helps there also. Just remember not to give it really big pieces. Ferret prey is usually small. Remove any uneaten raw meat quickly. Turned raw meat will give them worms. Or WORSE!
I don't know this one for a fact, but I've been told small pieces of beef jerkey will help keeps it's teeth clean. Not so small that they won't chew it, but small enough for it to handle while tearing at it. And they do make ferret vitamins you can put in water to make sure it gets all it needs.
You have a computer with internet, and probably a mailbox. The boonies ain't a problem anymore. Log on, order your stuff, check your mail. That's the best way to get treats that will keep for a long time, and the vitamins. Pick the website that best fits your needs and budget. There are plenty of ferret owners out there doing the same thing.
Don't forget to take it to a vet about once a year. I even took my ball python to the vet just to have it checked for vermin, (Mites.) strange lumps, and other things like weight and lenght so I could keep an eye on it's progress. Good luck.
P.S. Let it out to get some excersize. But only on a harness. Let it run to burn off the extra calories it will get from not eating just "ferret pellets". You can cheap a cheap harness on the 'net.

One of our ferrets fav's is bananas.
They also love yogurt.
Stay clear of the lunch meat or any meat that has been processed. boiled hamburger is ok because it is not as greasy. As with any "treats" in moderation is best.

I would think pieces of fruit, like apple or watermelon, would be a treat. Out of the meat choices, I would pick chicken for the less salt and antibiotics.
