Okay...we all mess up lyrics at one time or another. Mine was John Denver's Rocky Mountain High. During the chorus, I would sing "Rocky Mountain High....Rocky Mountain motto." When it should be "Rocky Mountain High....in Colorado."

"What a Wonderful World"

"The bright blessed day/The dogs say 'goodnight'"

(Nope, it's "The dark, sacred night.")

In regard to that song "Blinded By The Light", the line is actually "wrecked up like a deuce /another runner in the night". If you listen to Bruce Springsteen's original recording, those lyrics are quite clear. Apparently, the singer for Manfred Mann's Earth Band had some sort of a speech impediment because I can't see how someone could change the words so much otherwise.

I have botched up so many CCR songs in my 25 short years.

When I was little I used to sing, "There's a bathroom on the right" when it was really supposed to be "There's a bad moon on the rise."

My parents were kind enough to let me sing it that way for YEARS before I learned the truth!

Well....I always sang the "wrapped up like a douche, another bo.ner in the night" line whenever I'd sing along with "Blinded by the Light". (I knew they were the wrong lyrics, but just did it because it'd piss off my girlfriend...)

If you've ever heard "Where Have all the Cowboys Gone" by Paula Cole, there's a line that says "Where is my prairie son"....I couldn't understand it for the longest time, so I always said "Where is my furry salt". 100% serious.

Haha! That's a good one. I used to think Eddie Murphy's "My Girl Wants to Party all the Time" was "Michael Wants to Party all the Time". I used to wonder all the time who Michael was?!?!?

Mine would have to be singing the lyrics in "Maneater wrong" (at least the most important word in the song wrong)... "Oh, here she comes, watch out boy she'll chew you up...Oh, here she comes, she's a man-eater" as "Oh, here she comes, watch out boy she'll chew you up...Oh, here she comes, she's a MANADITA"!! LOL, how embarrassing...Listen to it though, it sounds like that!

OutKast - "Sorry Ms. Jackson, never meant to make your donkey cry." Suppose to be "Never mean to make your daughter cry."
