ok that sounds really stupid. it doesnt matter how many kids she wants. you dont even have to get expensive gifts for them. i want to have 6 or 7 kids and im not gonna ask my sister to have more or less just because I want her to. a bit ridiculous? if sshe wants the kids, and she is a good mother, whats it to ya? she abviously sounds a lot nicer than you rite now. if my sister wanted 25 kids that would be fine with ME! my mom has 9 brothers and sisters, and i have a giant family, and i LOVE it. some people do, and you cant change that. JUST ACCEPT YOUR SISTER'S HAPPINESS. and yes, i would say im a boomer i guess

I know what you mean. I am the youngest of 9, with only 1 boy in the family. I have no children at 27, but have 12 nieces and nephews. Between my two step sisters there are 7 children (5/2). Might I suggest a less expensive option to x-mas? Try going to like a dollar tree where everything is $1 and getting stocking stuffers instead of a gift individualized for each kid. Then you also illiminate the "her present is better than mine!" argument!

Haha...I was watching Reba & she said something about putting a fussy baby on a washing machine & I thought she was crazy. Then I realized she was serious, but I've never heard of it or seen anyone try it. It's worth a shot as long as you are right there to make sure the carseat & baby don't fall off.

So what's the problem? It's her kids, not yours. Five is not ridiculous. I know several families that are bigger - seven, eight, or nine.
And as for your monetary woes, how about buying one gift all the kids could use? Or homemade gifts? Kids already have plenty of toys - how about offering to take them all to the zoo for the day and give mom the day off?

Maybe some day...
I don't think I'll have 5, but 2 or 3 would be nice.
Some people thrive on having a big family. I commend those who are able to keep it together! I don't even know how I keep myself alive sometimes, let alone another human! Hehe :)

everyone is different. some like big familys with lots of kids. and some like familys with few or no kids. and if u dont like having to pay a lot of money at holidays, then give yourself a budget. like $15-30 per kid or whatever u want to give.

How can you think about christmas presents? If she's happy with her family & wants more kids then you should be supportive not worried about your money

Don't feel like you have to spend so much on gifts... she's got more kids, so they can share more toys. I know it sounds kind of rude, but you don't have to pay $50 a child!

1 is fine for me. I used to think it would be wonderful to have a bunch of babies, but then I start to see the poverty, unhappy marriage, screaming kids, no romance, no time for ****. No thanks! Some mothers go out in public looking like they've got it all together and having these beautiful babies, but when they go home it's all WORK and NO SEX!
