sears does pay you but you have to make up your commission in sales and then youget percentages of what you have sold. Its very importantthey gve you an employee ID so you punch that in each time you amke a sale and it gets credited to you. However if there are returns on your items up to 3 months it gets taken away as well.

Salespeople often get commissions, which are a percentage of the sale that you make. If you sell something that's $10, and you make a 10% commission on the sale, you'll get a dollar for the sale. Many commission based jobs don't give you a wage or salary, or sometimes it's combined with your salary or wages. The idea is that you'll be more agressive to sell something if you're going to be making a cut from it. You'll have to find out from Sears what their policy is.

A commission job is a position where you are paid only on the amount of sales you make, not an hourly or salary wage, so if you don't make any sales you do not get a paycheck.
If you are ready to work on commission then Sears is a good place to start. No t-shirts or jeans. Dockers with a polo shirt is good, business casual.
good luck!!!

A commission job is where you have no set pay you only get a percentage of your total sales usually around 1%. My advice dont take it. But if you sell nothing in the pay period they have to pay you minimum wage. If you want a commission only job go sell cars you have a good chance of making money not working at sears.

A commission job is where you get paid a percentage of the sales you make and you don't get paid by the hour. You should dress semi professional. No jeans t-shirts. Just look at the other employees and see what they wear to work is the best way. For guys usually a button down shirt with slacks and a girl a nice top nothing to revealing and slacks or a skirt.
good luck.

how old are you? you are going to work in public and you don't know what a commission job is? that's when you make sales and get paid a certain percentage of those sales. if you are on 10% commission and you sell $100 worth of merchandise you will get $10 for that sale. clear?

I worked at sears but quit last week cause i got a new job.
I worked around these people and they told me that they earned $6 an hour plus what ever merchandise they rang up at the register. So you would have to try and follow customers around and when they decide to buy something make sure its you. if they buy thigs that accumulate over $1000 you get a chunk of that. i dont know what the percent is of each thing but you do get a percent of what they buy. my friend told me that he got about $600 on his first pay check. I think its pretty good, you get paid more than the normal cashiers. Good luck!! wear nice shirt and slacks. Make sure you tell them that you are a people person and aim to please each customer, they love that, thats why i got hired. Good luck again!!!

Commission is when you get paid more for more items you sell or the more work you do. I think so, anyway. Its Sears so wear a button down shirt and slacks. Put some gel in your hair, too. lol
