Im not sure its possible he picked up a book about the vietnam war and saw some parallels but then again the thought of him reading past the level of the funny papers is so ridiculous....

MENE:
millions of muslim extremists
right? and where is your political science degree
Im sick of bigots like you who throw fuel in the fire of tension between muslims and non-muslims

there are muslim extremists yes, just like there are psycho Christian extremists - and both are equally dangerous

Dont write off an entire religion of people just because you are too stupid and brain-washed by the people at Fox News to understand their culture.

If the Bush administration wouldnt raid Iran upon learning they were aiding the insurgency, there isnt a chance in hell the Hussein Obama administration would raid Pakistan. That is just an empty threat and yet another liberal trying to appear tough on terror who if this war had been entrusted in 03, wouldve cut and run by now and wouldnt be anywhere near Iraq and Afganistan let alone Pakistan. Democrats are unwilling to committ to military operations for more than 1-2 years. They cant stomach being on the unpopular side of a war and they certainly cant stomach troop loss. Even though statistically we've lost the fewest amount of troops ever given the amount of time we've been engaged.

After meeting with his security team, the President said, "...if the kind of success we are seeing continues, it will be possible to maintain the same level of security with fewer American forces."
This is a prelude to finally bowing to the demands of the American people and members of Congress (including many in his own party) without ever having to admit that he was wrong. So, when the military brass testifies this month in Congress, Bush will be able to say his "evaluation" of the situation (in a 6-hour visit to Iraq) is that some troop withdrawal might now be possible. It's all a shell game, full of sleight-of-hand, all orchestrated to make us believe Bush knew what he was doing all along, when - in fact - the man isn't intelligent enough to tie his own shoes. -RKO- 09/03/07

I certainly don't. The GAO and the recent NIE proved that things were still uneven and chaotic.

Bush just wants to hold onto his little "fantasy democracy" a little while longer.

Don't forget: He said the same thing about troops coming home in 2004, 2005, and early 2006.

Why change now?

There are millions of Muslim extremists that want as many Americans dead as possible. I would like to see as many troops as necessary over there to keep us from a fate worse than death.
God bless George Bush! If Gore or Kerry were running things, we would be in deep ____.
The man tells the truth that people do not want to hear.
