To explain further, do you think everyone has at least one problem that they are consistently fighting? Or are their people out there who don't have a care in the world?

I don't think that most of the population is mentally disturbed. I believe that most of the people we label mentally disturbed are really normal.

Someone in the counseling field once told me that every person has some kind of quirk or idiosyncracy of some sort, whether they're obsessed with being clean or they're paranoid about leaving their door unlocked or whatever. It's only when those little quirks interfere with one's daily life that they become a problem or an issue.
So to answer your question, I guess that means that in some ways, yes, we're all at least a little mentally disturbed.

I'm not sure about the majority of the population, but I know the majority of religious fanatics are extremely mentally disturbed.

I beleve that everyone struggles with some problem, at least once on their life. Its hard to believe that one person exists that has no care in the world, but people who dont have a care in the world are called Stoics. You can read about them here..

I don't beleive there is one person on this planet who doesn't have a care in the world. Everyone has one problem-atleast. Part of being human is dealing with tough issues, conflict, and making mistakes.

There was a survey conducted in the late 1970's that showed that one out of every four americans is mentally ill. SO check your friends... if three seem alright, your'e the one.

We all carry baggage. Some of us just have a backpack's worth of problems, while others could open a bloody luggage store. Here's hoping that if you are dating anyone, it's the former kind of person and not the latter! ;-)
