My son is a Runescape addict & I am a Yahoo! Answers addict, plus my daughter likes to get on her MySpace page, too :-) We have 1 computer & we now have a schedule up. I was just curious :-)

n10zguy :-) My kids come home from school, they do their homework first, then they do their chores. I am married & both my kids have 4.0 GPA's. Thank you for your concern with my parenting skills :-) Thank you & have a nice day :-)

Nah. That would be impossible, since my mom likes to check her email spontaneously for long periods of time, and would definitely violate the schedule.
"Hey Mom, it's my turn to use the computer now!"
"I'm checking my email. I'll be off soon."
"OK"
TWO HOURS LATER...
"Done!"
"Finally, I can get on!"
THREE MINUTES LATER:
"I need to use the computer again."

Scheduling is about the only way you can peace-ably work with kids when everyone wants on the computer at the same time.
n10zguy - What a load of bull. Where do you get off coming up with such assumptions about someone you have no knowledge of. What a dick.

No.
Single, daughter is 18 and studying her little heart out so she is not interested right now (but not for very much longer). Got a serious password on my P.C. so she has to get my permission to fiddle around on "The Machine"

When my kids were younger I had to set a cooking timer with a bell so they wouldn't fight about who had more time on the computer..
Now They have laptops so my computer is My to use anytime!

No schedule here. I'm lucky to be the only one in the house most of the time and my partner is computer-phobic.

You need some parenting skills!!! What happened to having the kids do their homework and chores? Anyways, I would say, like everyone else "buy a another computer or laptop" but I don't know your financial status so I'll not recommend that!
What I can recommend is...find other activities for them to do....
chores
video games
homework
read a book
force them to hang out with their friends
limit the amount of time they can be on
Depending if your divorce...send them to their dad's more often...haha
or just kind quality family time together...besides the Internet...

this person is the best example that this sentence is true
Give someone a keyboard and a computer to hide behind, and all manner of bewildering things come flying out.
