Does anyone know why scientists think a full moon effects people.... makes them act weird.

If the moon creates tidal force if would have a tidal force effect on Humans also.
However at one time when mental illness was not quite understood it was attributed to the effect of the moon on the Earth. Hence Mentally ill persons were called LUNATICS.

Romance is still associated with the Moon even to this day.

Scientists don't think that, people think that. It's an old superstition, but when scientists looked into it, they found no correlation between full moon and odd behaviour, from police to hospitals. It's just a urban legend, not statistically true.

It's Scientificly proven that the crime rate increases when there is a full moon. But not for the reason that it effects people behavoir, It's just simply easier to see when there is a full moon, because of the light

Statistics of events correlating with the moon cycles. The gravity doesnt change, why are women's reproductive functions based on lunar cycles?
