There is this girl that I know, she is gorgeous yet smart, educated yet nice, independent yet not self-centered... I have had a crush on her, but despite her being really gorgeous (and part time belly dancer) I never dared to think about how I want to get it on with her, but instead how much I like to see her, talk to her, and be in her presence. She is not currently available as she is dating some loser, but I have been talking to her on the phone every day and I am sure she'll be mine sooner or later. But how do I get rid of this weakness and start thinking sexually about her which is what I usually do about the rest of women I like? Help please!!!

This might be because you possibly liker her so much, if that makes sense. Like the other women you say you like them, but it seems that you might like her more and because of that possibly having some feelings towards her. Yeah I know that sounds unmasculine, but that's what it seems if you want her to be "yours", therefore, there is obviously having to be some lust there if you want that and not her to be just a friend. So I think it is because you like her so much that you see her more than a fling compared to the other women you liked possibly. And it also might be because she is with the guy, thus not available yet, so not thinking about her like that, because you might not want to keep you hopes up thinking sexually and her staying with the guy and not being with you. But I think if and when you hook up, the sexual thoughts will fire up.

this you should play by ear. there are things, in this world, that take longer than others. wham bam thank you ma'am doesn't work for all situations. this lack of feeling could be mutual. part of being close to somebody is to pick up on their vibes. this may be an important contribution to sex even.

Don't worry about it Ronnie. What you are feeling is a sign that you are maturing. You are looking at her as a human being rather than a sex object.
Good for you.. If you ever do "get with her" you will enjoy it much more, because you are aware there is more to her than a roll in the hay.

So according to you, you feel that being honestly interested in a girl's mind and her personality, and not being immediately driven to imagine her in sexual way as a weakness? Why is it a weakness? Doesn't this create more excitement in the mystery of who you really are, and that perhaps you in fact are not all about sex, even though as a male this is perhaps what is expected of you in our society? You can't base a relationship on sexuality; thats what hookers are for! Nobody marries for sex, and when they do, its over pretty quickly.

Usually the ones that are the most admired ar the ones you feel are not sexual objects...If she ever "gets" with you...she may feel the same way...you 2 could be a match...and the juices will flow eventually.

You would probably feel some subconscious guilt thinking these things when she's going out with someone else. When she's free, things should be better (by your standards).

Actually, I think it's awesome of you not to think of it! I'd want a man who would want me for me and not automatically thinking "oh man, got to have sex". Those men are just jerks. Don't try to change it, this girl will love you for it.
