Interesting when the media said we were losing the war everyone believed it without question. Even though not a victory, there are signs of success here and there, and most do not want to believe it.

An example of the "progress" in Iraq:

The Iraq Freedom Congress (http://www.ifcongress.com/English/index.htm ) is a libertarian, secularist,non-violent, democratic, and progressive group that opposes Ba'athism, Islamism, and nationalism -- as well as the US invasion/occupation.

The Iraq Freedom Congress has organized a self-defense Safety Force that patrols neighborhoods in Iraq (population: 5,000) and has reduced sectarian violence there to zero. However, far from supporting this effort, US forces have assassinated the head of these Safety Forces (http://tinyurl.com/25yknr ).

Ah, the same media that cheer led us into Iraq?

The same media that said Iraq was going to kill us in 45 minutes?

The same media that extolled the invisible "progress" that they insisted has been made in Iraq since the invasion began?

Seriously, what kind of nimrod would believe anything that is said about Iraq from either the Administration or the same media that pushed the invasion now? You'd have to be pretty foolish, not to mention gullible, to believe any of it.

Look at Israel and their neighbours - bldy years they've been at it hammer and tongs - no, we're not making progress in Iraq - progress is way down on the agenda as far as Islamists are concerned. We should have stayed well out of it - I mean, who in their right mind would voluntarily get involved with middle eastern politics !? Mental!
