usable gb 4.38 used 3.27 how do i get rid of the used space so i can record more films deleted ones that i have downloaded but to no joy help please!!!!!!!!!

You can only do this if you're using DVD-RW discs.

If you are, you need to click on 'Recorder' (at the top of the screen) and select 'Erase Rewritable Disc'.

If you're using DVD+R or DVD-R discs, I'm afraid you're stuck with the movies that you've got on them already as this type of disc is 'write once', meaning you can't erase the data.

If you didn't select the multi-session option you can't.
If it's a DvD-R...it's a drink coaster.
If it's a DvD-RW you can reformat it.
