if your soon to be ex husband wants you to stay home as a full time mother for his child/ren then it needs to be court ordered that he pay enough in order to pay all your bills and necessities. if he wants you to stya home for the benefit of your child/ren then alimony and child support can be issued. Alimony is expressly for stay at home mothers.
good luck. i hope he wants what is best your your child/ren.

So what is your question?

If you want a divorce then make sure you can support yourself and he should be responsible for helping you support the child. The old days of alimony and the ex husband supporting the former wife and kids completely, are pretty much past.

You husband doesn't HAVE to pay your rent if you divorce, that will be YOUR responsiblity, it isn't child alimony, it is child support and it is for the child ONLY. You will just have to get your butt out and find a job to support yourself rather than expecting your husband to do it.

Maybe it's better to get a job and pay for your own rent. The court will decide on child support. But it's probably not wise to depend on someone else for your entire sustenance.

Alimony is paid to women who leave a marriage and can not support themselves cause of old age. You will receive 'child support' for your children. No your ex doesn't have to pay your rent but he has to pay child support. If you want to leave you have to find yourself a job and be able to support yourself.

well he shouldnt have to pay for your rent. So make sure you have enough income to pay for you and your child. Yes he should pay child support but some guys don't so don't leave depending on him. You will now have to become very independant and look out for yourself

since you want to divorce him, the only thing he is responsible for is for the child. youre responsible for everything else that happens with you. your husband will have to take care of his rent on his own as well- im sure he wont be expecting you to pay for that.
