I just find it to be offensive to hear these people say stuff like
"Support the troops, bring them home!"
When what we hear is
"We want everything you've done to be for nothing. We want every death to be for nothing. We want to lose this war!"
Does anyone else find it funny that these people think they are fooling anyone but themselves?

Yes they do. Just like those vets that said the were for John Kerry. Like in any population, a certain percentage of every ideal can be found. They are the VAST majority. But, I resepect them a HELL of a lot more than civillians who have never been here.

Like I was saying, I disagree with Vets who speak out against the way, but I was mistaken when I say I am offended by them. As I previously stated, they have been here, they have seen it, they have experiance to base it on. Even though most of them are the lower enlisted with the least experiance.
John Kerry was a fake and fraud. He put himself in for every one of his medals, something real soldiers don't do. On top of that, the MAJORITY of those who served with Kerry were against him, that tells me something. He's what we call a sh!tbag.

Just like pulling an athlete out of a game halfway through the second half because they might be behind on the scoreboard: "Nice try, you did good, let's quit and go home now." War is not a game, but the idea of premature termination is the same.
If the generals say it hopeless then I'll believe it, but not before.

that's the Bush administraton that each physique started that little bit of nonsense. that is propaganda started by utilising a corrupt president. This little bit of awesome propaganda is stright from the mouth of the brilliantKarl Rove.Heis a genius at determining what maximum folk of non-newspaper examining naive a lot will swallow. He can provide the crap desirable to them and that they'll swallow any style of idiocy. Like this. The lame brains that like Bush continually say in case you do no longer help the conflict you do no longer help our troops. of direction, ALL individuals help our troops. no longer one individual interior the rustic does not help our troops. yet consider a conflict without purpose? No, how can everybody agree that we are in Iraq for a great reason? Love our troops, yet hate the conflict. If we had an extremely loopy president that each physique started conflict on small risk loose international locations at random for no valid reason in any respect, could we then say we are for the conflict and have self assurance the alternative to bypass to conflict became desirable? What it ability is, quite, in case you do no longer help the conflict, you do no longer help the assinine judgements of our president. And if that president cut back their reward quite their wellbeing reward, and closed all the veterans hospitals, could that president be helping the troups? that's the president that doesn't help the troups.

Actually, the 'war' was won three weeks after it started. What's going on now is an occupation under the fig leaf of a 'Vichy Iraq' government that has no real authority, no real power and no real legitimacy. Because of the massive cultural differences between the people of the 'west' and the middle east no power or authority will ever attach itself to the US imposed government. Forcing US troops to do what isn't in the charter of the military to do is what is objected to. Propping up a toy government isn't even possible, at least nobody has ever done it in modern times for any extended period. If the Bush administration asked the military to dispose of the Iraqi armed forces and Saddam Hussein and nothing else then you could make the case that all the deaths were 'for something'. But you can't make the case that an endless occupation of an unwilling people is dying 'for something'. How about a real vote? Do you want US forces to leave Iraq...are you willing to assume the responsibility for what happens after US troops leave? Let the Iraqi people vote on something beside do you want a puppet government or the direct control of the US military.

How can WE win a civil war?
What happened to mission accomplished?
We supported this in the beginning based on what the dear President said.
Saddam has got WMD's and is a threat to us. what a bunch of BS.
Now the terrorist group that wasn't there before has set up camp and is just as strong now as before 9/11.
You have your own party suggesting the troops come home, or have we forgotten that? Sen. Warner? Sen. Lunger?
How long do you want to be over there in the middle of a civil war? 5 years? 10 years?
You have the highest suicide rate in decades in the Army. You have to pay $20,000 to get people to enlist. We've spent over $500 BILLION dollars on this already.
And what has been accomplished? A sham of a government over there. How long of a vacation did they just have?
What of all the benchmarks that the President said back in January 2007? Have they all been meet? Didn't I hear a report that just said 13 out of the 18 haven't been met?
So yes, I want the troops home. And that includes MY family members who are over there. All alive.

what about groups like Iraq War Veterns Against the War?
Do they offend you?
I understand that you would be offended by vets who are against the war, it was a legitimate question I had.
I don't care for Kerry or Bush. But I'm guessing you support Bush, who avoided going to Vietnam, but you don't like Kerry, who did go to Vietnam. Is this true?

It's a mindset...liberals believe that if we were just more likable, everybody would like us back...therefore, if we run away, we shouldn't see ourselves as giving into terrorism, we're just becoming more likable, and the nice folks in Iran and North Korea and Iraq will leave us alone.
The fact that all of history tells us this is not true is beside the point...liberals are smarter than any people in the history of the world, so it will work this time.

While I certainly support the Troops, I don't support the war anymore. I hate to say it, but I think the unfortunate troops that have died in the last 2+ years HAVE died for nothing. I don't think that cesspool is worth ONE American life, never mind over 3,000. I'm no longer fooled by that "security in the region" BS. It's all about oil.
BTW I'm Republican.

This veteran agrees 100% with supporting troops over Bush's lie-based war. Their lives are more important than profits for defense contractors. Blindly sending them into harm's way at the whims of a bad leader isn't a good thing.
Their only job is to protect the US from enemies. Not to police foreign lands while defense companies rob and pillage the tax payers. I think too many people today have lost sight of the defined role and mandate of the US military. Our military doesn't exist to prove how tough we are. They exist to protect our shores from an invading force.

What I would find funny if it weren't so pathetic is how a fool like you can still support a president who sent you to war under false pretenses!Remember that you(if you really are a soldier/vet) went to war to keep America safe from the WMDs that Saddam was threatening to use against us by giving them to his buddy Osama!

You know, through all this, no one seems to ever bring up Jesus.
When he was being arrested, he told Peter to put the sword down (fully aware of what his arrest meant).
He told Peter, "Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword".
So the question really is this--are you prepared to die by the sword or are you ready to allow Jesus into your heart?
