I'm interested in acting and dancing so I need an agent or manger in that kind of feild. Does anyone know any businesses or companies that I could call or go to to get one in New York City for that kind of feild?

NY is going to have soooo many Sag agents to choose from...You are fortunate that you are there. Many people asking questions here are in states...where there are none. Get you Pic out and your resume.........grab some stamps at the post office......and start submitting yourself. Submit to as many as you can. Wait about 2-3 weeks, because that is usually the turn around time for them to get back to you. If no calls, try calling them. You can always resubmit yourself...in a couple of weeks to keep your pic fresh in their heads......Good Luck!

You have some good suggestions for marketing yourself to agents. You don;t need a manager until there is something to manage. Your age is a factor in getting an agent. If you are under 18 your parents actually have to do it for you, because you are too young to sign a contract. So the BIG question is, Are you ready for an agent? You don't go anywhere to get an agent. You send in your resume. Go look at the Ross Reports for legit agencies in NYC.
