I got a black car with a one inch horizontal scratch around the end of my rear. It looks greyish. What should I do? I'm paranoid that people will think of me badly because of the scratch even though it's not that easily seen. Also i'm worried that the scratch might get bigger do to sun damage, rain, chemicals or natural stuff. Since it's now not protected with wax or whatever. What would you do?

I think I can get the paint color thingy from the dealership, but i won't know how to put it on and fix it myself. Would i have to repaint the whole bumper thingy? How much do you think it would cost for me to fix it?

Also what happens if I don't fix it?

I just heard an ad on the radio this morning about a place that will remove minor scratches from car paint. It's here in Austin, but I'll bet they have them everywhere. The ad emphasized bumper scrapes (if you know what I'm talkin' about), so you know a 1 inch scratch will be simple. And they fix them "while you wait." Check it out in your city; it sounds like a good idea to me.

see if waxing over it lessens the look of the scratch. Bumper scratches are very common and hard to avoid.
