Can somebody help with wireless internet card problem?

Question

I have a computer upstairs, and router downstairs, and I am using the same wireless internet card and same setup as I was before my computer broke and it worked then, but then my computer broke and I had to reinstall windows and stuff and now it isnt working.

It reads and recognizes the wireless internet card, but it doesnt get a connection. Once it got very low, but then went out again. I have the same setup as before, I don't know why it won't work. Can someone help please?

Read The Friendly Manual (RTFM) for your router and follow the installation instructions and “How To's” to the letter.
