please recommend what you have used to feed your fish while on vacation. We don't mind spending money on a good product. Any tips will be appreciated

Please stay away from these blockfeeders, they do more harm then good, they will only pollute your tank and ruin your establishment in your tank

you can do 2 things:

either just to a partial waterchange of 25% with a gravelsiphon just before you leave
and feed them just as alway, and don't buy anything to feed them, because they will be absolutely fine without food for 5 days

or

you can buy a motorized automatic feeder, all the petstores have them

Hope that helps
Good luck

Don't bother. The fish will be fine for 5 days. If you feed them and aren't there to monitor the water, something could go wrong.

My family went on vacation for a week with our 56 gallon saltwater tank and we received an automatic feeder from a friend of ours we bought our live rock and some fish from. it was very easy to operate. i don't know where he got it, but i'm sure if you go to an aquarium store they might have one.
