ok well i have a 5 paragraph essay to do and i need help
this is the prompt:Prompt: pretend that the unified school district has a budget crisis. The district must cut the sports or the arts to save money. Which program should they cut and why?
i cant decide which program they should cut

The arts would have to go..colleges look at the sports as a school function like they would look at the clubs for participation. The arts as important as they are..if they are not mandatory and changed to an elective so there is limited class size then maybe it could be saved in some way. Maybe the arts can become a club ..all that it would involve is teacher participation as an advisor.

Cut the arts. A lot of kids get scholarships from sports rather than the arts, which may be the only way for some people to afford college. Also, sports make you healthier.

Most people would say art because too many people come to watch the sports teams play. There is too much money involved.....the school gains money for refreshment sales. They can gain money from all kinds of things if they have fundraisers....like car washes, bake sales to raise money for things like uniforms.

well, how many pros and cons can you come up with for each one, choose the one to cut that you can think of more ideas for so that you can make your essay longer and get more marks.
