From what I remember is that > is like an equal sign. So when you put for the x would be 0+2=4. 0 plus 2 is 2 >4. Just treat me < and > as equal signs.

0+2>4 2>4
1+2>4 3>4
2+2>4 4>4
3+2>4 5>4
4+2>4 6>4
5+2>4 7>4
6+2>4 8>4
7+2>4 9>4

As you can see the first 3 are not greater than 4 but the rest yeah. Hope this helps you.

x + 2 > 4
x + 2 - 2 > 4 - 2
x > 2

1. subtract 2 from both sides
x>2


so in the numbers you've given, x cannot be 0,1,or 2(it's not greater than AND equal to. it's just greater than)

x+2 is less then 4
This means that x could equal either 0 or 1....
x=0
x=1
It could be either 1, as long as it is less then four....
