term 1 is 3x
term 2 is 5y
term 3 is 12
Your answer is correct 3 terms.

For '15'

term 1 is 15
So there is only one term.

NB term 1 can also be the numerical value of 0(zero). e.g.
0 + 2x + 3y
This contains three terms, one of which has the value 'zero'.
