In some places those old laws are still on the books..
In Michigan somewhere there is still a law on the books that you are not allowed to be alone with a person of the opposite sex unless that person is your father or brother/sister or mother... They really don't enforce it however.. (but, if you ever piss a cop off.. or get away with something on a technicality.. they COULD do it..)

Actually, it some states it is. If you are not married or a sibling. It's those crazy laws that were put into place a long time ago, then they were forgotten and never revised. Right before my husband and got married, we found out we had broken the law for a year and a half.
