id run a good Mobil one synthetic motor oil in in it that would be the best for a high mileage engine like that it helps to make the engine last a lot longer,and you don't have to change it as often either,its the best oil on the market right now,so that would be what i would run in it,you,ll be surprised of how much that will help it,and help it to last longer also,good luck with it.

I am also a fan of Mobil 1, they have a formulation for higher mileage engines, but if you are not using any (or much) oil between oil changes, the regular Mobil 1 is fine.

If you dont have any leaks use whatever motor oil you choose to use.But my suggestion if you dont have have leaks use vavoline 10-30.But if you have leaks use a straight wieght motor oil to slow it down like a 40 wieght.

I swear by MOBIL 1, I had 2 trucks(small) that I got almost 300K on them, before I sold them, and they still ran!!!!
