I really want to become a famous actress. And, I know that soudns cliche, but it's true. I see these girls in hollywood these days who are famous for partying and junk like that, and then here is me, so close to age as them, but actually wanting a career, and to do big things. Ever since I was little, I have wanted to be in the movie business. It just seems like it will never come true. My brain is tellign me to get over it, but my heart is telling me to continue on with it.I know that you should never give up on somethign you can't go a day without thinking about, but I am just not sure if anything is possible anymore. Some advice please?

Stick with it, what you need to do is look for auditions somewhere if you live in CA or NY it should be easier, if you dont then you might have some problems >.< Or you can look for reality show auditions that have to do with acting

try out for some plays and you might get a chance to go big at one of those

BTW GOOD LUCK :D

All the comments before mine are really good ones, and should give you something to think about. Do you want to be FAMOUS, or do you want to be an actress. Paris Hilton is FAMOUS. Nicole Richie is FAMOUS. Lindsay Lohan is FAMOUS.

Meryl Streep? She's an actress. So is Sally Field, and Judi Dench, and Helen Mirren. Before you even begin studying, find yourself a good role model and read about how they got started, and what they did to get where they are now. All the actresses I just named are famous, but for their TALENT.

And get ready for some hard work, too, because nothing about becoming an actor is easy. Don't believe a single word you've heard about "overnight success." True, there are many people who become "overnight sensations." The "boring" part the media never tells you is that it took them most of their lives to get there.

So.. break it down for yourself.. Do you want to be famous, or do you want to ACT?

The two go together, but you have to know which one you really want.. Many of those people you see who are "famous for partying" started with the same idea.. they want to be famous actors.. then they get there and it is overwhelming.. too much too fast.. One example of a young "famous" actress would be Melissa Joan Hart.. she kept her priorities.. kept to acting, not just being a media focus, and now has not only money, but a fairly respectable career..

If you want to ACT.. do it.. in order to get "famous" you have to be seen.. act locally, audition for your local theater company.. school plays.. find acting classes or seminars.. focus on the acting, and don't worry about the famous.. If you want to be "famous".. just go on to one of those generic So you want to be a star tv shows and be seen.. even if it is more for looks than talent.

You have to get your name and picture in front of casting directors.
You have to go to lots of "open calls."

It can happen -- but you have to make it happen.
