I have a 91' cutless supreme, and my "low coolant" light came on about two weeks ago! I have no Idea about cars, since this is my first car. I am also totally broke so I didn't want to take it to a mechanic if it is something I be able to fix myself. If there is a need to put fluid in, how, what and where would I put it in? Thank you!

Low on coolant in the radiator---buy a gallon of premixed 50/50 coolant at a parts store and add it to your radiator and overflow tank as necessary. Make sure to only add it to the radiator when the car is cooled down---remove the radiator cap by pushing down on it and turning counter-clockwise to the first stop, then push down again and turn counter-clockwise again to get it off, fill the radiator to the top and reinstall the cap---make sure it's on all the way past the first stop. Have the parts store guys show you how if necessary. Add coolant if necessary to the overflow jar so it's up to the cold level mark on the jar. If the light stays on, it's probably a bad sensor which is usually located on the passenger side of the radiator tank towards the top. You may have a coolant leak if the system is low. Good idea also to buy a repair manual for the car if you want to do some of your own repairs---parts stores carry them for around 25.00

its probably low on coolant ,try adding some to the coolant reservoir near the radiator it will be marked coolant only, there's a sensor in it that tells when its low, that probably all it needs, but make sure you add it to the right one, that may fix it,and make the light go off, good luck with it,
