The Grand Canyon is in Arizona.
The Colorado River goes through it.

The above answers are correct. And just a side note for all of you who are saying "duh" and so forth, the US Post Office couldn't even get it right. In late 1999 early 2000 the USPS printed an international stamp with Grand Canyon on it. Not only did they print the pic backwards, the info line under the picture read "Grand Canyon, Colorado". They noticed the mistake before any stamps left the printer and had them re-printed. So, this is a valid question, but next time just go to www.mapquest.com and look it up. It would be quicker.

PS Grand Canyon is also located all in one county-Coconio.

WoW !! Great answers . What is this adjust your meds day for some people ? Anyway the Grand Canyon lies entirely within the state of Arizona. It is 277 river miles long .Mile zero is at Lee's Ferry AZ and mile 277 is at a place called the Grand Wash Cliffs where the Colorado River sadly becomes part of Lake Mead
Btw just to add another layer of confusion
It's proper name is the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River which btw is no longer colo rodo es colo verde

Look on a map. The Grand Canyon doesn't stop or start at state borders, it's a natural phenomenon that just goes its own way. Any atlas will show you the territory it covers. In fact, you've missed one state that it also includes. I've paddled the length of the Canyon.
