HELL NO! Good grief, where do you live? That is insane! 20 year olds should be partying it up, living the life! You still have all of your 20's to go! The ones that had kids, yeah, probably mistakes/accidents. And the ones who are engaged, well lets just say we'll see how long those marriages last. Unless they get married later on. There is nothing wrong with a long engagement.
My advice to you, be your own 20 year old. Don't do something just because you feel left behind. I'd say you're the one who will end up making better decisions because you will know when the time is right to make such big life changing choices.

Oh Lordy! I'm 42 with two kids, 5 and 2.
Enjoy your youth and freedom. The kids and marriage will come when the time is right for you. So many people get married too young because they think it's what they're supposed to do as "the next step" in a relationship. Probably why the divorce rate is so high. Maturity and stability take time and patience.
Good luck to you!

No! You have YEARS to worry about that. Worry about your career and/or college first. I had friends from high school who got married and have kids at such an early age and it ended in divorce. I'm almost 29 now and the last thing I wanna do is get married and have kids!

Once you are married and have a child you have them forever. Take advantage of the fact that you are still a free agent. Your friends are tied down and no matter how much "fun" they tell you it is, it's a lot of work!! Been there done that. You are barely out of your teens and have a lot of living to do. Get out there and live before someone sweeps you off your feet!! Marriage is a good thing and children are wonderful, but don't rush into it.

Not necessarily. A lot of people marry much later in life. The average age for brides now is 27. I got married at 19...big mistake!

No, I' am 21 and those things are the furthest thing from my mind. Most people who married and have kids young are overworked and stressed. But it depends on the individual. My advice is to enjoy your youth and establish yourself in life first. You have plenty of time.

Relax... my girlfriend is going to be 21 this year, and she hasn't ever been married or had a kid. and I'm 19, and haven't been married or had a kid yet either.
You shouldn't have to rush into something as serious as marriage just because "everyone else" is doing it... Just take your time. Love will find you. :-)

Slow down! You have a long life ahead of you. Don't accumulate extra baggage just yet. You're not old enough to rent a car why try for a husband or child. Enjoy your youth!
