I have been to the viewing deck on the Empire State Building 2 years ago. I think it was 86 stories in the air. All I know is that it was high enough to lose cell phone service.

The Empire State Building on the observation deck. You're right...the observation deck is on the 86th floor of the building. There's also several more floors above that one...It has a 100 something floors. I think it would be fun to go to the very top one. I went on a school trip to the Empire State Building in high school and we went up there at night...it was so cool to see the city all lit up from that view.

Top of the twin towers in NYC about 20 years ago. Awesome and scary view. Glad I got to see them as they were meant to be seen. Not on fire and collapsing. It's sad.
