when I burn a cd, I can play it back on the computer, but not on a cd player?

All home burnt CD's have two factors to consider. One being the quality of the CD and the other of the CD player. Some CD-R's will play in certain CD players and not others. It's usually older and not as solidly made CD players that have the problem, but even with my nice CD player, sometimes I get unplayable CD-R's. Try a different brand of CD-R's or get a new CD player to fix the problem.

only some types of cd players play homemade CD's , these are the new type of CD players old ones do not play them.
