Keep quiet, don't discuss your case with anyone, do your time and keep your head down.
If someone does confront you and forces you to fight, tell him you will help him with his Habeus Corpus appeal instead.

On yea.
You will be housed depending on your crime.
If you join a gang in prison, thinking you will be safe, you are soooooo wrong.
The very best advise I can give is to stay to yourself, do what your suppose to do, keep a very low profile.
Improve yourself while there, ie; take some classes, read a lot and pray.
My motto has always been "DON'T DO THE CRIME IF YA CAN'T DO THE TIME"

Yes, you should be afraid - that is part of the treatment process. If you are going to jail you must have done something pretty dumb. Serves you right! By the way, what were your circumstances for getting into your mess?

Prison is not a thing to be comfortable with. They design it where it is feared and that you are scared to be there so you won't come back.

depending on which prison you're going, how corrupted it is, how well they are going to treat you. what kind of street skills you have in order to survive.
