hi with betta do u prefur male or female. with 6neon tetras and 4 kuhlis. my tank is not over stocked.?

Your tank is not overstocked. The Betta will be fine. Generally, in most pet stores, the male Bettas will have longer fins and be more colorful, but this is not always true. For YOUR case, it doesn't really matter whether you get male or female, just pick out one that you like the look of.

Typically, it is easier to find male bettas in stores, and you can choose one that has a nice finnage (veiltail, halfmoon, crowtail, etc.). However, they might be aggressive, depending on the individual and not play nice with the neon tetras. Mine didn't like having tank mates at all (and ended attacking a few of the neon tetras to death). Females generally have nicer temperaments, depending on the individual and what kind of environment they grew up in. But they can still be aggressive. And they don't have the typical betta tail.

well how big is ur tank if it is <20 gal. the betta might get territorial and kill the other fish male or female. but if u have a big tank i suggest femal because u can have more than one and they wont fight

you can get the betta of your choice. i like blacks and reds personally.
