After five years with your normal monitor I upgraded to a samsung 22" and for some reason it doesnt look as good as it did in the store. I have the monitor connected to a 128 nvidia card, and I followed the instructions on the cd I got with the computer but it just isnt as crisp as I was expecting, any suggestions? Thanks.

The monitor image is only as good as what is transmitted by the video card. Once you have the monitor connected, and the computer had found out what it is you should be able to manipulate the settings on the video card to give you a better signal. Bump the resolution of the video card, or change the number of colors to unlimited/32 million etc. Or both. You can usually change the settings on the card to increase the quality as well. This might sacrifice some performance, but it may get you where you want to be.

What's the resolution? Are you using the DVI input on the monitor? Does your video card support DVI as an output?

That monitor can handle very high resolutions so see if you can turn it up using Control Panel.

If you want it to make it better you should use the DVI (Digital Visual Interface). Its better because then the graphics look better and the pictures would look as almost as HD since your monitor supports it, think, if its new
