You have it pegged. Unfortunately there are some in our military just like civilian society that believe the propaganda. Why? Because they want to. It is easier to believe than to think and to reason.

Why didn't the repeated violations of the cease-fires and treaties that Iraq signed with us after the Gulf War give us the right to go back in?
Does it piss you off that the troops tend to support the President?
And to answer your question (your 360 page is closed for comment) I'm pretty much a life-long conservative Libertarian who tends to vote Republican because the left scares the hell out of me. I don't think Bush is the best thing since sliced bread, but I also don't think it's fair to blame decades of piss-poor handling of the ME on one man. Don't forget - Bill Clinton also thought that Iraq had WMDs and declared that Saddam had to be stopped, by force if necessary. And so did INTERNATIONAL intelligence agencies...

9/11 and Iraq are 2 different events and scenarios. We were in Iraq in the gulf war in the early 90's. The follow up invasion and defeat of Iraq and the removal of Saddam had to do with the failure of Iraq to live up to the terms of their surrender in the Gulf War and the violations of UN sanctions. You sound confused about your histroy and it is only 15 years ago. How old are you?

Bush and Cheney have spun that conspiracy from day one. It's shameful that they use the tragedy of 9-11 to sell their war in Iraq.

You know, Hamilton, I highly doubt you know what our troops are thinking, so I wouldn't be talking. And learn how to spell W.

What our troups think is irrelevant, its not their decision to go or not go to Iraq.
THAT decision is for the president to make, like it or not.
Saddam Hussein HAD weapons of mass destruction, just ask the Kurds, whom he gased..............
