Unscrew the center bolts. 5/16" or 8mm box end wrench.

Then uscrew the hold down block bolt and remove it.

GM Side-post batteries require a special 6.5mm socket or ratcheting wrench to remove the bolts that attach the cables to the battery. It's the only thing you would ever use a 6.5mm wrench for so chances are, you probably don't have one.

Just take it to a shop and pay them the $10 to remove the old one.

i think your going to need a 8" wrench
