Any sort of polish on the paintwork & we used to use Silkolene Pro Prep on the engine casings / black plastic bits / hoses etc.. , gives an excellent shine. A decent microfibre polishing cloth also makes it much easier to get a decent shine on any surface.

A cheaper alternative is ArmourAll original which does a similar job but the finish doesn't last as long especially if it gets wet in the rain.

Put the bike in a locked backroom for 24 hours with an army of apprentices. Beat said apprentices mercilessly with wet towels until the bike has reached an acceptable condition.
Put the bike in the showroom and carefully feed the youths raw meat.

Alternatively, most modern workshops employing holistic management techniques such as my own, use cleaning products made by Wurth and plenty of elbow grease.

for the chrome on my bike i use chrome trim polish, it removes flaky rust and shines no elbow grease required just pour the liquid onto a clothe wipe on, wipe off with clean cloth, shines like knew
on the paint frame and tank i use turtle wax, again with a cloth rub on , let dry rub off with clean cloth
my bike shines in the night and blinds in the day, mi ride it everyday in rain sun snow what ever
the 2 polishes i have used come from cleaning bikes from the 70s till now
you get the chrome trim polish from car accessory shops as you do the turtle wax, do not use autosoll its hard work and scratches the chrome
keep on polishing

I use my bike 52 weeks of the year & always use the following method to keep it looking good.

Muc-off spray all over (except where it would dissolve necessary grease (brakes & bearings)
Lightly sponge muc-off over whole bike.
Jet wash suds off (be careful near brakes & bearings).
WD40 on rag for wheels.
Mr sheen on dry paintwork.
Black plastic (back of mirrors, indicators etc) looks good after light wipe with WD40.

Use WD40 to get black grease off the spokes (try not to breath it in) apply it to a rag and just wipe off.

Mer gives good shine on paintwork too.

S100 Motorcycle Cleaning and Care products - as recommended by Harley-Davidson and Ducati.

Quick and easy to use, it gives your bike an almost 'liquid' shine to the paint and chrome. Brilliant stuff!!
