Starting? We've seen real progress for quite a while in regards to Korea.

What the fuss about, the USA and all the allies backed off and it was because of China.
China directs North Korea, China told NK to back off and the allies would open their arms like whores.
With the middle class arising in China, they will need cheep labor and North Korea has plenty of labors.
North Korea is the next China, they will rise as we buy their products,
What a bunch of fool we are!!!!

Bush was just following the Clinton/Richardon (as in Bill) policy towards North Korea with few changes. I think it will stay calm for a few years until North Korea needs some more oil or food. Then they'll pretend to go nuclear and receive the same deal from the U.S. It's the basis of their economy.

It seems to be so at the moment, my problem is that I trust North Korea about as far as I can throw them. I look at Korea's motivation for such agreement. We delist them as sponsors of terrorism and unfreeze their assets and will likely now start giving them aide. This is a country that really can not feed their people, our money will help but as in most countries that we aid, the top dog keeps that money for himself and I fear that this aid will be used to secretly continue their building of nuclear weapons.

So yes it is starting to look like Bush was right but I think that we will have to wait and see what happens in the future

Bush didn't have thing to do with what North Korea decided they look upon him just like the rest of the world , just a passing thing . When they gave him a MRI on his physical checkup, the Radiologist said they scanned his head and there was a blank white screen , there was nothing there, they thought they had a made a error , did it again and still a blank screen.

No, and they should not be removed from the terror list. That would open doors for aid and would lift additional sanctions.

WHY?

Reminds me of Libya, Bush 'negotiated' with them too.
Both sponsor terrorism...both leaders are NUTS, NEITHER SHOULD BE TRUSTED.

How soon people seem to have forgotten Lockerbie Scotland.

I believe the Bush administration just gave up and decided to informally "look the other way" regarding North Korea. Basically, North Korea understands if they can keep a lid on their nuclear work, US and the UN won't agressively look for them. In other words, if the press can't report it, it ain't really happening, right? Anything to push the incompetence and lack of attention out of the spotlight, delaying the problem to future administrations.

So why couldn't Bush deal with Iraq in a similar fashion?

Do you mean when he refused to talk with N. Korea, or after he listened to reasonable, sane people (both in this country and in other countries) and finally started talking with N. Korea?
