I think that he would never admit that under any circumstances and every 'Generals report' time frame is meant to keep prolonging and to ask for more patience and more patriotism and more soldiers and more money.

How many assessment time frames have we endured already?

The Splurge is a failure.

Otherwise, why are we still in Viet Iraq, and bush is panhandling Congress to rob the 2009 budget for another $50 billion?

I think the Generals' Report will put a spin on the fewer casualties during the last couple of months; however, May and June 2007 had the highest casualties during the entire occupation. Thus, what real success is there?

You obviously don't know how the military react to Congress. Even a mild question from a congressional aide can send a military officer into a panic much greater than something as simple as being shot at. Moreover, General Petraeus is something of an expert in counterinsurgency operations, and that puts him outside the mainstream of military people. He's gotten where he is despite, not because of, his special knowledge. That's the way of Pentagon politics. There's no way he's going to let anybody cow him into saying anything he doesn't believe. He's been bucking the establishment for ages.

The surge is working. Your hatred for Bush keeps you from the truth.
