Read Plato's Republic and imagine that the opening to the cave is a hole one eights of an inch in diameter, and that people alternate in looking out. That gives you some idea of the status of science. The good scientists know they are gathering what they can at the moment, and doing their best to interpret for now. The ego-dweebs tell you that their peek out the small hole is the truth for now and always.
The whole big-bang thing is not even a hundred years old. Just let the guesstronomers and their brothers play with the instruments and ideas and enjoy the show.
Remember Newton was the king for three hundred years, now he is often a footnote.

Do you mean that there was nothing? According to the Big Bang theory the Universe expanded from an incredibly dense piece of matter.Nobody says you have to believe this as it´s basically a working hypothesis to give scientists a frame of reference.

Scintists don't say there was "nothing before the Big Bang"--only that we have no way of knowing what, if anything, preceded it.

Actually, there's no way of knowing if time itself had any meaning or existance prior to the Big Bang--so we don't even have any way of knowing if there was a "before" in the sense we think of it.

And, yes, I know the "but ?" These concepts can be handled with mathematics. Englishisn't designed to deal with them--you jsut end up chasing paradoxes around in circles.

What is nothing to one can be something to another. It is all relative observations.
If You Refer to the Creation of the Universe except for scientists , we simple people have really no clue what exactly took place of when and How our Creator constructed it.
Except as outlined in the Biblical Record of Creation.
