Gary your the only idiot the only reason you leave school early is for the money you dont enter the draft early cause you liove football or cause the Oline sucks if your that good he would have stayed to show how good he really was with a sorry line but know he thought his stock was high so he went 15 million he's probably already blown that like most sports stars do thinking they're going to make it at the next leave.

Probably because he was trying to get paid, no one enters the draft thinking they're not going to make it. Frankly given the choice, I'd rather take a shot at millions than some record that isn't really going to improve your life in any way shape or form.

Edit - to the ****** that has the nerve to call someone uneducated, just cause he may not NEED the money doesn't mean he didn't WANT the money, athletes who are already making multi-millions hold out for larger contracts all the time , you think it's cause they need the money? I don't. Unless you know him personally (in which case you should have listed so in your source so I think that is unlikely), you have no more idea why he did what he did than anyone else, so get off your high horse buddy.

Not to mention that for someone who is supposedly so educated one would think you would know that one period is enough to end a sentence and in this language we start new sentences with capital letters.

this is why uneducated idiots should not answer questions....it has nothing to do with money....

D. Walk doesnt need the money becuase when he was a freshman in HS he was mistakenly identified by a police officer and beaten/arrested...the settlement of almost 15million dollars pretty much shows that he doesnt need the money.....thats why his entire family was able to uproot from GA. and move to South Bend to watch him play...so all you idiots above me should keep your mouth shut

the reason he entered is simple....did you see the play of the O-Line for the Irish against Ga. Tech......horrible he knew he would be in for a horrible season and his draft stock would have been 0 now he didnt get drafted this year but he had a better chance than if he were to wait for a shitty season.

One word MONEY!! you start giving kids who never had any the lure of what the NFL gives and thats what you get. In my opinion i think the NFL draft should be for seniors only time to take out the underclassmen from it.
