Naturally it depends on how long the song is. I have a 2GB iPod that holds about 450 songs. So 4GB could be around 900 and 8GB could be around 1800 songs.

The 4GB will hold a bit less than 1,000 songs with all of you other stuff, were the 8GB will hold a bit less than 2,000 songs because of everything else you store on the phone.

One song is between 4 MB and 6 MB. Average=5MB
One GB is 1000MB. So 1 GB is 200 songs.

4 GB=800 songs
8 GB= 1600 songs
