I have a 2002 Highlander Limited with music and I`m looking for a new alternator so I was wondering if the alternator in the Lexus LS400 will fit the Highlander.

I assume you need a higher amp alternator. If the frames are the same size your Toyota and Lexus dealer can give you the standard amp output of each alternator. I remember specifically that when my daughter bought her 04 Highlander there was a towing package offered. In this package was a 140 amp alternator instead of the weeny 100 amp unit. I'm sure those frames would be the same size.
What ever you decide my advice would be is to pull the negative cable off the battery and pull the alternator out and exchange it at an autherized AC-Delco parts store. They 'll be able to match physical size and have both or any increased amp units of the same frame sixe so that it will fit perfectly.
They'll be able to tell you what the amp ratings are on the Lexus units also.
The reason I'm steering you away from the Toyota owned dealers is $300.00 more dollars out of your pocket!

Your local auto parts store should be able to help you with this question. If pulley and connections and mounting are same it could work

Look up the part number for both cars on http://www.autozone.com and see if they're the same.
