A newtwork that has shown as default under my wifi is unsecured...I used it before but I haven't lately at all...Would the name default mean they never named it???

yes you can get in trouble doing this, i would stop doing this or ask them and see if it is ok.

Technically Yes, it's stealing. You can be traced by IP address, the unique address every computer transmits. Thats why you should never say anything on a message board that you wouldn't say in public because it's all traceable.

Without their permission, it is illegal. It would be like sneaking over to your neighbors house and patching in to their cable so you can watch TV without paying. If your neighbor will let you, maybe share the cost of his wi-fi, then it is OK.

if you borrow it with person yes its ok, if person doesn't suspect, then its illegal to any extend. but again if you see any open wireless network, it shows that is not your fault, its other person ignorance.
