That is an old wives tale. Supposedly people used to say it would make the cord wrap around the babys neck but it has been proven false.

It's actually okay to reach above your head all through your pregnancy.

Doctors tell you it's not, only in the aspect that you are reaching to grab something heavy or some such.

Stretching out while pregnant is good during every trimester because it gives the baby room to move or grow inside you and thus makes for a bit healthier little one.

This is an Old Wives Tale- you WILL NOT harm the baby nor cause the cord to wrap around its neck NO MATTER when in your pregnancy you raise your arms over your head! If you're still concerned with these silly things you hear, ask your doctor and he will put your mind at ease.

Yes, it is always okay no matter how far along you are. There is a really stupid old wives tale that the umbilical cord will wrap around the baby's neck if you do it but that is so ridiculous.

It is fine at any stage of pregnancy. This does not increase the risk of a cord problem -- that is an old wive's tale.

Sure, in less you are labeled high risk you can pretty much do whatever you did physically before you got pregnant.

My wife and I lived in Europe when our first child was born. My wife is German, she rode a bicycle to the store 8 hours before our daughter was born to get some needed items for dinner. Why do American women feel they need to do nothing when pregnant? Its amazing, we as a species survived all these years quite well without women laying around waiting to be catered to because they where pregnant. American women, wake up, your pregnant, its nothing new, it happens all the time all over the world. it doesn't mean get lazy!

yes you can reach above your head. but try not to stretch above your head alot because it can detach the embryo from the placenta. i have seen it happen.

It is ok for a little while. Your doctor will tell you when things are ok and not ok as you get further along in your pregnancy. Congrats
