I have done a google search but not really come up with anything so if anyone knows of any sites with london esque logos please let me know and post the link.
this is for a college project where i need to find these logos.

Do you need company logos?.. or are you thinking more iconic images of London?
If it is the latter then here are some ideas...
Most city and London icons are the famous places, usually in silhouette, such as..
Big Ben
London Eye
Tower Bridge
St Marys Axe (Gherkin building)
St Pauls.
Also the shape of the Thames.
I cant think of anywhere that has free iconic images, but here are a few links to paid (cheap) ones.

IF its company logos you are looking for then i would start with the Bouroghs and the police force, then miliatry Royalty.. they all have there own idents.

Consider things that symbolizes London rather than look for specific logos that represent London. Consider things like the British Flag, the Thames River, Big Ben, the Parliament Building, Buckingham Palace, members of the royal, etc. Work from there and you should be able to come up with something.
Also, if you want a specific logo, the London Underground logo and the Sex Pistols "Anarchy in the UK" logos are very iconically London.

try the transport for london site or search for mayor of london that might help too. The most common i think is the London tube sign.

there are no actual logos, people normally associate london with the London eye, the dome, things like that. maybe you can use them as logos

TRY that giant clock named Big Ben, that thing is synonymous with London !!
