itself..a wider consciousness is expressed?

I agree, but with the qualification that the words "of life" are not important to the thesis' validity.

The recognition of love by the Self/Ego, the valuation and care for the welfare of the other, apart from the Ego's desires, always indicates an opening to the consciousness into a larger sphere of being.

Defensiveness is the desire to protect one's self from harm. The individual never realizing that they need not personalize anything from another. I don't have the power to hurt your emotions. Only you have that power.

The curse of intelligence is that we have the ability to make ourselves fear just about anything. I don't think that fearful is an enjoyable way to lead to life. When we stop frightening ourselves, life takes a different turn.

jesus thats a lot of big words.

you are asking this question for one of three reasons:

1. you want to sound (or think you are) smart
2. you want to see who will answer
3. you actually expect people to be able to answer that

My answer is that is a very exact set of circumstances and at the same time it is too broad to really mean anything at all.
