Some anaconda's can eat HIPPOS. look it up on youtube. So basically it probably could not digest a full blown cow, but a sub-adult or baby would be no problem.

No, not even close. In the wild they eat mostly caimans and capibaras, which are the world's largest rodents.

And to clear up a couple of wrong answers, at the most green anacondas weigh 400 pounds, but rarely get this big. Cows easily weigh over a thousand pounds, so there is no way an anaconda can eat one.

The video on You Tube shows a capibara, not a hippo. Hippos are found in Africa, anacondas in South America. Yes, it could look like a hippo, but I promise you it's a capibara, the world's largest rodent, which can grow to 140 pounds. There is no way an anaconda ate a 2000 pound hippo. Don't believe everything you see on Youtube. Geez!

i don't see any thing that shows or says an anaconda can eat a cow. but an anaconda can weigh more than a cow

OK if we have to clear up wrong answers then here's one for YOU madsnakeman

this is from national geographic. posted may 12, 2002. from an anaconda expert by the name of Jesus Rivas:
The green anaconda to be specific, the largest snake in the world.
Other snakes may grow longer, but none matches the length and weight of the anaconda. The largest specimens can grow to close to 30 feet (9 meters) long and weigh 1,200 pounds (550 kilograms), "more than a bull, more than a cow," says Rivas.

If you go to youtube.com type in "anaconda" and "hippo". You'll see an anaconda regurgitate a hippopotomous (know I spelled that wrong)

If an anaconda did manage to eat a cow, it would have to be one of the larger anacondas out there.

though an Anaconda does have a thick skin, it (and the insides) can be ripped. Though I do not know the certain story that you are talking about, I do know that other snakes can puncture themselves if they do not swallow correctly. I was watching A documentary and the snake had to regurgitate a horned toad that went down the wrong way.

Probably not likely. Though they can eat small deer, sheep, etc. Here's more info:
