How To Unjam A Printer

Open all the access doors, inspect for paper, and close them. If it is a laser printer, remove the toner cartridge, inspect the paper path for paper.

Remove all paper, re-insert paper.

If you pulled the paper back out to the front of the printer, you may have dislodged a paper sensor. The paper removal should always follow the direction the printer feeds paper, if at all possible.
